We are a community-driven organisation established by our founder, Samantha Nye, to ensure community members receive the necessary support during challenging times. Throughout her life, Samantha has encountered numerous challenges and has channelled her experiences into a positive initiative to support those facing difficulties. Her commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals in Darwen, combined with her determination and passion for this cause, has positively impacted the lives of hundreds. Understanding the feeling of isolation and struggle, Samantha has endeavoured to create a supportive environment, ensuring that no one feels alone in their challenges. Through her vision, hard work, and community collaboration, she has successfully fostered a strong sense of togetherness. We offer a diverse range of support services designed to enhance the quality of daily life for our community members.

- *Self-Referral Food Bank: * Provide a one-time, three-day emergency food supply (for emergencies only; evidence required).
- *Household Support Packs: * We provide essential items such as plates, cups, and cutlery for individuals transitioning into new homes (no referral needed). –
*Form Filling Assistance: * Our team is available to assist with completing forms, such as Personal Independence Payment (PIP) applications, which can often be extensive and complex.
- *Befriending Service: * We offer companionship to those feeling isolated, with friendly listeners and refreshments available to brighten the day.
- *Employability Club: * Support in C.V. writing, interview preparation, job searching, and assistance with applications and volunteering experiences.
- *Learning Centre: * We provide work experience placements for secondary schools, colleges, and universities, helping students gain valuable insights into the employment sector.
- *Community Events: * Engage in various activities, including outings and social gatherings, to foster connection and engagement within the community.
- *Support Groups: * We facilitate groups addressing specific issues such as fibromyalgia, breast cancer, and bereavement, with additional groups planned for the future.
- *Group Activities: * Our diamond art painting and crochet classes aim to combat isolation and promote social interaction.
We collaborate closely with various agencies to facilitate referrals between service users and relevant resources. Our commitment to developing new services in response to community needs remains ongoing.
